RH 5.1 and SCSI Tape

I am finally installing RH 5.1 and wonder if anyone has had any experience
with SCSI tape under it.

Is anyone using kernel 2.0.35 and later aic7xxx patches from Doug Ledford?

I'm finally upgrading because I'm running into SCSI tape problems again
(SLOW resets...).
