I am interested in putting some of my biological sequence searching software out
under the GPL and was wondering if anyone here could advise me on what to
do about setting this up. I would like to see the code getting wider use
because it has proven very useful to me in the past and I feel the best way to
do this is to put it out in source form so people interested can put it on
machines beyond the range of those I have available. Currently I have compiled
and run it successfully on Intel/Sparc/Alpha running Linux and also on IRIX/SGI
and Solaris/Sparc systems. I have also found it to be an excellent test for
the various compilers available so it may be nice for the egcs people to have
access to the source.

Windows *IS* difficult to use. Difficult in the same way a teenager is
difficult, its immature, unstable and you can never get it to work
properly. Dr Shane Sturrock sss@holyrood.ed.ac.uk
