Remove ANY cards from those first 2 slots.
Boot the machine ( well as far as it gets, anyway)
Shut it down and power it off.
Put your original cards back where they belong.
Boot again.
This should work.
These puppies "remember" last configuration.
Removing the cards should flush this configuration.
Problem with the black screen is that the BIOS x86 emulator doesn't know
about the Cirrus Logic based video card you tried.
