Ethernet Problem on UDB

I have a UDB running RedHat Linux 5.0 which I just recently installed. I am
using the 10Base2 BNC connector for my network. During the kernel boot
process, I see a message that no link beat detected on 10BaseT switching to
AUI media. I'm relatively new at this but I've checked the FAQ and HOWTO and
haven't found the information I need.

Is there a boot parameter I can use to force BNC connector to be used?
