Re: GPLing my software



Thanks for the advise.  I wrote the code during my PhD and as far as I can tell
it is mine.  There was a problem for a while because one subroutine I used was
part of a commercial app I had worked on in the past (it turned out that when
the company bought the rights to the app they also got all my libraries so I
had to start again, odd deal that one).  Anyway, that subroutine shouldn't be a
problem any more and the rest of it is fresh code.  So far as I can tell I can
meet the necessary requirements to be able to GPL the code.  Just wish I had
the necessary expertise to contribute something more directly to my favourite
OS.  For the moment this will have to do.

(PS, ignore the date on this message, something screwy with the way kmail gets
