I am using the following version:

egcs --version
egcs-2.90.29 980515 (egcs-1.0.3 release)

I just got Alan's pre-patches and will give them a try, as the machine
is a poor Multia, I will see what happened tomorrow morning ;)

As far as I know I got all the updates for the 2.2 kernel. I will check
and verify this asap.
