To all:
Of course I'm going to write everything and donate to the rest of the
world ;-). But I'd like to reach a useable system. I'd like to see the
"Login:" prompt. Then I'll write a page detailing my steps...

For the impatient ;-)
        - Go to http://www.alphalinux.org/docs/jensen.shtml
                Read all
        - Take the second doc ( http://www.khubla.com/jensen.html ) as the
good one. The rest of all are outdated or wrong, but helps to fill the
holes that this one has.

To Shrikant:
I presume that you are getting a "Kernel Panic" after loading the ramdisk.
You are using the wrong ramdisk.img (and probably generic.img). Use the
one pointed in the "second doc" (from above) and tell us where you stop...
