Mark, I've been using nmap under Linux/axp since release 2.01 - latest
tested was 2.3beta8.  There are some issues with glibc21 which prevent
most of the "useful" scan types from being run as root; I tried to
work them out with Fyodor earlier this year, without much success.

Drop the diffs by my way, I'm interested in seeing what has changed.
