Annoying Error

Has anyone got any ideas how I get rid of this minor error.
I have just installed a RedHat 6.0 system using the 2.2.13 kernel with
specific mods to add my platform. During bootup, /sbin/clock is executed to
get the date/time stuff, unfortunately this error/warning appears.
# /sbin/clock
system type: Eiger
system vari: 0
cpu model: EV6
init_iosys: platform not recognized
ioperm: init_iosys() failed
/sbin/clock: unable to get I/O port access
#
It does pick up the date and time properly, but I'd like to add the code to
fix this.
