OK. Now which ramdisk.img can/should I use (internet address?). Also, I
have an x86 with Linux installed, might I have better luch writing the image
from there? Only problem is I don't have a SCSI controller on the x86, I
might have to bring the drive to a friends unless there is a way to access
the drive accross my LAN when it is still connected to the UDB. Hmm, it's a
thinker. Any other ideas?

You did, my appologies for not reading the entire message, my fault.
In theory I guess you could make a partition on the harddisk, rawrite the
image file to the partition (using rawrite under NT, will it let you
rawrite to a HDisk partition?), and then pass Linux the HDisk parition as
the root fs, you'll still need the load_ramdisk=1 line.
worth a try I guess.
