Hi GURUs,
I have observed the same problem in two systems ( DS10 and DS20)
We are unable to partition the disk for more than 1176 sectors
The problem is we have a disk which is >8 GB ( info through ARC
console). But after installation of OS, I tried to add new parttion through
'fdisk'. Firstly, it gives a warning that it supports only 1024 sectors. I
find that I can add only BSD type parttions. When I create a new partition,
the starting sector, range of values is 1-1024, but I have to give 1177.
Also, I find that the number of sectors from disk geometry is 5766
Please suggest.
Thanks in advance
With warm wishes,
B K Srikanth
