New clock feechure?

On my new 667 mhz XP1000s, I have a new and exciting clock problem.

Under RedHat 6.0, /sbin/clock -w sets the clock, but on reboot, the clock
often has the year changed to 2047. I do have ARC=false in
/etc/sysconfig/clock, but this is a different offset (the ARC offset is 20
years, this one is 48.)

I don't think I have this feechure on my 500 mhz XP1000s.

(And where are those searchable archives? They aren't mentioned in the FAQ
and they aren't mentioned in the Mailing List section on alphalinux.org...)
