Thanks to those earlier responses to what I originally thought a IDE
and/or network problem. The installation program proceeds at an slow
speed until the package installation at which point it crawls with an
estimated completion time of 34,000 hours ( that's 34 thousand ). This
ftp is between two DS10s with hardware set to 100Mbit Full Duplex ( set
ew*0 FastFD in SRM ) and connected via a Netgear FS104 switch which
indicates 100Mbit Full-Duplex. I think that the problem is with the
installation program. I'm tired of wasting time on this and wonder if
the installation program can be run once I get a minimal installation of
machine working?
Thanks. Sven
