RE: ARCSBIOS: is there a compatible Mylex DAC960 miniport driver?

With regards to your message at 05:15 PM 12/29/99 +0000, Jakma, Paul. Where you stated:

they're the ones i've tried. and they will not work. arccf.exe (the config
utility) returns straight back to arcsbios after you press a key. arcfu.exe
(the firmware flash utility) says it can't a DAC960.

UX -> ARCSBIOS 3.0.62 (from API)
Mylex DAC960-PDU (linux driver calls it -PU). Firmware 3.52
Mylex is not DEC Alpha OEM. Does this make a difference?

Both DAC960NT.SYS ver 4.12 and 4.16 (current from DEC's site) don't work.
ARCSBIOS calls them, and you see:

                Detecting devices:
                DAC960NT

on the screen, and that's how it stays. If i disable them, the machine boots
fine, and the linux kernel DAC960 driver finds the DAC960 without probs.

Maurice, which Mylex firmware have you had this working on?

-paul jakma.
Sorry Paul, I don't have anything much more specific at hand.
While they were still available we used to buy the Mylex DAC960 from distribution and just used them. We never had any real issues with them, so our efforts did not extend to anything very complex..

Have you contacted API for info? As this is ARCSBIOS it may be there that the problem lies..
