Re: sound, I haven't looked at it yet. :(
(I went out and got an ES1371 (broken driver) for my 21164 shortly after
 it hit axp and haven't had the time to track down the hang.)
If you'd like to bang on the sound subsystem and send me
64-bit friendly patches...

For now, I'm more concerned with just cleaning up the code.
