rz26/rz28 internal
rz26/rz28 external in BA352 storageworks pizza box
SRM console firmware version 6.8
I boot the avanti-s system image, then it prompts me for the ramdisk
diskette. It goes into the installation routine, then asks if I want to
format each of the disk volumes. I don't want to touch the internal
drives, they have VMS installed on them. The SW drives, Linux touches
the drive (the access light flashes), then the system panics with a
signal 11 caught. This happenned on both drives in the pizza box.
The interesting thing is, when I reboot the system, LINUX complains that
sda/sdb have bad magic numbers (as expected, they're VMS), and on the
pizza box drive(s) that I've tried to init, it doesn't complain (but it
doesn't show any partition info, either.
Any ideas? I did ask to use Disk Druid to do the partitioning, if that
matters.
