1) edit /etc/resolv.conf
Do other net programs work properly (telnet...etc)? Also try nslookup. If
nslookup cannot find DNS ips, then the problem is not with netscape.
If all this works, check my patch ftp://draal.physics.wisc.edu/pub/kernel/.
It *should* be in 2.2pre3 (it was in 2.1.131...) but it's always possible
Linus lost the patch somehow. The patch fixes a longstanding argv[0]
problem (which in turn fixes netscape's async DNS lookups).
