Hello Everyone,
Ok... I wonder if I'm missing anything... because I've tried 5 different
versions of Netscape (3.x 4.x for OSF3.2/DU4.0, communicator/navigator
and all permutations of those I could find)... and everytime I get a
core dump with Floating Point Exception.
I've used kernels 2.1.131 with various ac patches up to ac11, and right
now I'm on 2.2.0pre3. In all cases, I've compiled with the following
options set to YES:
CONFIG_BINFMT_AOUT=y
CONFIG_BINFMT_ELF=y
CONFIG_BINFMT_MISC=y
CONFIG_BINFMT_EM86=y
Is there some combinations of these that don't go well together? I've
noticed on this list that several people have had some success (at least
more than I have) running DU Netscape. By the way, Netscape does try to
start (created a .netscape directory) but then core dumps. So, I do have
the necessary files from DU 4.0... or at least it's not complaining
about not finding some lib.
The exact error message is:
Floating point exception (core dumped)
I'd appreciate any help... thanks in advance.
