Yes, tried tab, but not twice.  (It's not _that_ obvious, is it? :-)

Thanks again!!  Everything works beautifully now.

However, the kernel startup option "init=/bin/bash" still does not work.  It
dies at:
Freeing unused kernel memory: 48k freed
: Can't open

Maybe a new MILO is needed for recent kernels?
