Did you do the "swriteboot" at the end of the Linux
installation?
I recently installed RH5.2 on a DPW433au with the
info below.
>>> boot dka0 -file kernels/miata-s.gz -flags root=/dev/hda0
fdisk to edit disklabel of /dev/sdb (dkc100 in my case)
making 3 Partitions leaving 20480 sectors free at the beginning
of the Disk (for bootstrap info later).
Creating 3 Partitions:
a: /dev/sdb1 / 64MB
b: /dev/sdb2 swap 128MB
g: /dev/sdb7 /usr 1.8GB
After things have installed onto the disk, change into the
second screen with Alt-F2 and write the bootblocks:
# chroot /mnt bash (does not work!)
# /mnt/sbin/swriteboot /mnt/dev/sdb /mnt/boot/bootlx -f3
