What system id this

Hi

I just got an offer to buy an Alpha system
at a reasonable price, but the guy selling
it doesnt know if it can run linux.
The cpu is a 150 MHz 21064, it is an DEC MB
with 6 EISA slot, 3 of them are occupied by
a scsi cont. adaptec 1742A, a ethcard DE422,
and an unknown videocard compac something.
According to the man it has previously been
running DU and VMS.
What kind of system would this probably be ?
and would I be able to install linux on it ?
