An HSZ is a SCSI-Bus device, so it's not something that you plug into
the PCI
bus but something that you chain into your SCSI-Bus. It gives you a
'logical
SCSI-Disk' that is built out of some disks the HSZ manages.
Regarding management: the HSZ has a serial line connector. Over that you
can
configure it via a terminal. So I guess a serial cable between your
Alpha and the
HSZ and talking to it via 'cu' would do.
If you have a spare disk in your Sable then Linux would certainly be
worth a
try!
