kde-1.1pre2 compile warning

Because I am a glutton for punishment, I decided to rebuild Peter's
SRPMS instead of just installing the binaries. During the compiling of
kdesupport, I got the error at the bottom of this message (not quite
word for word). It complained about -lc, -lqt, -lX11 and -lXext. Should
I be worried about this? I checked and the libs for X11 are there, but
are in X11R6, so I symlinked /usr/X11R6/lib to /usr/X11/lib and that
complaint went away. /etc/ld.so.conf lists /usr/X11R6/lib, /usr/lib, and
/lib. Am I missing something? I'm wondering if it's a shared library
problem in general, and if it will bite me in the arse later.
Alpha UDB, RH 5.2, kernel 2.2.0, all necessary files from Peter's site.
****Warning: This library needs some functionality provided by -lc
****I have the ability to automatically link to that library when
****you link to this one if you have shared libraries, which it
****appears that you don't have.
Thanks All. (esp. you Peter!)
