matrox cards

 i want to get an alpha system in a few weeks.  i have it all specced out but
i have not chosen a video card.  i would like to get a matrox card with at
least 16MB video memory, so i can have 1600x1200 resolution with decent colour
depth.

 my question is: does the matrox G200 PCI work with xfree86 on alpha systems?
if i have to use a millenium II, anybody know where they can be got in ie/uk?

 if anybody wants to recommend a better card in the same league, i'd love to
hear about it.
