Crashing mtvp with 2.2.9?

Hello,

I just found out that mtvp is crashing when attempting
to play large MPEG files (650MB). This didn't happen
when I was using 2.2.7. Is this a result of using
2.2.9? (no patches)... or did something else on the
system change that is causing this?

This is on Alpha...
