First I'd recomend getting the ldmilo.exe and milo from
ftp://gatekeeper.dec.com/pub/DEC/Linux-Alpha/Kernels/

Second, I think their might have been a problem with the kernel from 5.2
for a UX. Either use the generic kernel or grab one from
gatekeeper.dec.com
