I can. I wish!
I am curently embroiled in "fixing" the tulip driver for DEC2114x cards and
I really wiosh I had someone "on the hook" to be responsible for this to be
resolved.
Look, please don't misunderstand me, I think Open Source is lovely. BUT,
when it is mission critical time and it is not having the desired result
then what?
Have you tried installing a PnP PCI modem lately? Not funny.
I am sure that, given sufficiebt time, and given the increasing prominence
of Linux and OS we shall see the manufacturers improve their Linux device
driver support, but s for right now, there are some BIG holes to deal with.
4Front have helped me out a LOT of times. There have been machines which we
tried to implement sound on that were VERY difficult, and they always
helped us out.
