Hello all..
I am running RH 5.1 on my UDB, with the gcc RPMs from 5.0 installed.
I recently ran into a bit of a problem in compiling some C code with
gcc. It is generating bogus assembler.
I get a bunch of these:
/tmp/cca14951.s:358: Error: macro requires $at register while noat in effect
The C code that I am compiling doesn't do anything too funky (I don't
think :) .. just defines a Complex type consisting of two floats, and
declares a matrix of them, and then I pass them around and do some math.
This code compiles nicely and works fine on Linux/Intel (gcc 2.7.2.3,
same as my Alpha).
egcs on the Alpha works fine too.
Is gcc known to have problems?
