Some models of the Multia have the external SCSI port, others do not. I have
also seen reports of success using a PCMCIA modem in one of the slots instead
of an external modem (though I don't see much advantage in this unless you were
using both serial ports for something else).
The Multia was a good learning tool for me. What I mainly learned was that I
wanted a more modern Alpha box:-)
