Well, a bit but of a different kind if you want boot CD from SRM.

But this guy wants to write, obviously enough, an Intel bootable CD
(instead of buying one for a few bucks from Cheapbytes or a similar
place) even if he posts on a totally wrong mailing list.

It does not look like that his procedure is "broken" in some sense
unless, of course, this "Cuteftp" is trying to be not only cute but also
"smart" and does "text translation" in a transfer thus totally buggering
images or that "Easy CD Creator" is broken and is dropping bytes when
writing, or something else of that sort.  It is hard to say without
checking all points in the chain above one by one.
