That sounds a bit odd. I've partitioned 50GB disks
without a problem with my XP1000. Even my 9GB drives
exceed 522 cylinders:
2 partitions:
# size offset fstype [fsize bsize cpg]
a: 262144 2048 swap # (Cyl. 2 - 129)
b: 17508352 264192 ext2 # (Cyl. 130 - 8678)
Must be something to do with either your SCSI controller
or the disk itself.
As far as the DS20 problem, what controller are you
trying to use? I've used several different models on
my XP1000's and DS10's without trouble.
