I'd like to see Alpha and Linux be a popular platform and by just focusing on various niches it wont
happen. I believe that we are getting close to a point where AlphaLinux works almost as well as Liux x86
for a desktop, as far as supported apps. If Compaq provides the Tru64 libs like was rumored then we'll have
a good start. The only markets we will never (in the near future anyway) be able to attack are; low end
(sub 1K) and notebook markets. But the rest should be at least possible.
