Here is my comment on the subject:  I would not use 2.2.12 -bad idea-, I
would use something >2.2.12 (even if it's a pre patch).  I'm having good
luck with 2.2.13pre14.  Mr. Estabrook had some changes added into the
pre12(?) patch and other chanes blended in seems to work.  But then again I
don't run X or any other 'stuff' such as audio boards etc..
