new harddrive for AS250 4/266

Hi list,

I recently saved an AS 250 4/266 from the scrap heap and have
successfully installed Linux on it. Since the original 1 GB Quantum HD
is old (and makes terrible noises), and really t0o small for my needs, I
am planning to either replace or supplement it with a larger HD. Is
there anything to worry about in selecting a HD except for going with a
SCSI drive? Thank you very much for any pointers,
