Minor annoyance with netstat on Alpha boxes

I don't know if this is specific to Alpha's but I don't have access
to any other kind of box. I set up /etc/networks so that I could
get meaningful aliases when running "netstat -r" but I still
get only dotted quads. It's no big deal, I'm just wondering
whether other's see this or if there is a fix or something else
I'm missing.
