Hello all -
I'm having trouble exporting my root partition with NFS. I need to run
backups with BRU from our backup server. It would be nice if I could
export / with read-only access and no_root_squash.
All of my other exports are working just fine. I just can't export /.
Is there some default security "feature" I need to over-ride to do
this. I'm using RedHat-6.0.
The offending line in /etc/exports looks like:
/ fovea.eng.uiowa.edu(ro,no_root_squash)
When I run "exportfs -r" I get:
fovea.eng.uiowa.edu:/: Invalid argument
Thanks -
