Do you care to clarify non-support?  I have an EV56
system running a 2940U2W right now.  Right now MILO is
my only issue, so I boot from floppy.  I am running
AlphaBIOS 5.68.   The only oddity I see is that the
drives aren't specifically identified - SCSIBIOS
controlled drive rather than firmware info.

I understand you may know more about the Alpha systems
than I do, but my system does not seem to fit your
profile.
