Sigh; when last I knew, work was still being done to get a real driver
for the Adaptec U2W into AlphaBIOS. With the "de-emphasis" of NT on Alpha,
I'm not sure this will ever show up.
AFAIK, the next rev of SRM consoles (5.6) *will* have U2W support,
but don't ask me when that'll be.
Now, it *is* possible for the console to support a SCSI controller
via SCSI BIOS on the card itself - I think this is what is happening
on your system.
Please clarify: do you boot MILO from a disk on the U2W, and then the
kernel from a floppy? Have you tried the latest MILO WRT the U2W
support? I'd look for it on the Alpha MILO site in Italy -
