Redhat Alpha Installation Problems.. Please help..

Hi,

I just acquired an AlphaStation 4/233 and I am trying to install Redhat on
it and am facing the following problems..

- Read the alpha-howto and made the image floppies of avanti.img,
generic.img and ramdisk.img

- i can boot with the MILO floppy and set the device to fd0

- when I say 'boot floppy' MILO gives an error saying Failed to load
kernel.

- if I do a 'run linuxboot' after making the fd0 the active drive then I
get the following messages:
UNZIP: this is not a zipped file
it then produces some has marks as it decompresses the gz file and the
says
'Bad filehdr magic number 0x41f should be 0x183'

I tried using different floppies for the generic.img also downloaded the
lastest generic.img for redhat ftp. The same error persists.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong. I am an alpha newbie.
