GIG3DGo on Alpha Linux

Hi!

I got this letter in reply to my ´Question on Alpha Linux support:

Dear Jonas,

Thanks for contacting GIG. Yes, we agree and are actively working on a dvelopment pathway for Alpha. our analysis of the situation is correct except that Side Effects has not ported to LINUX.Read their PR carefully and you will see that they have only ported the "non-interactive" portion of Houdini to LINUX. They will have a long slog to getting the rest over, even with E&S helping them.

In the meantime, we have a robust solution including 3D solid modeling, great animation tools and arguably the world's best renderer available on LINUX right now. If you have any suggestions that would help us get to Alpha faster. We would like to hear them right away. Please go to our website, fill in and mail us an Info Request form and well send you a LINUX CD to have a look at. The software is fully functional without a license, just save disabled.

Also, we will be looking for beta testers so please mention that in the comments section so my staff can notify you when the Alpha version is ready.

Thanks for the input.

Stay well and in touch,

Anthony
