Hmm. Why should this be a problem? Since you "contact" a soundcard by
using the kernel's I/O functions, the hardware should not even notice that
it is applied to a 64bit machine.
I heard of problems with big/little endian mixed hardware, though, since
if you transfer data, you don't always know the exact boundaries and so
can't determine how to flip bytes.
Correct me, if I am wrong...
