Multia and PCI slot

Does anybody have configured a PCI ethernet card on the Multia UDB - VX42 with Linux (RedHat 5.1) ?

ARC firmware reports the presence of an ethernet card on slot 12, but Linux doesn't see anything. (Have tried several cards).
(NB. the on-board ethernet is working, but I need a second one)
