Please help with Jensen install :-(

I've been struggling for 2 months now trying to get Linux on a Jensen.
I've upgraded to version 1.7 firmware. I have confirmed all hardware
works. I've used the procedure on www.alphalinux.org/docs. I've set
the floppy to 1.44" (required to get copyboot to work).

Both minlabel and copyboot worked successfully, and I created the
boot disk like so:

cat lxboot.aboot lxboot.aboot bootlx.aboot vmlinux.gz > /dev/fd0

Hard disk is partitioned as follows:

/dev/sda:

#1: boot 4MB
#2: swap 64MB
#3: ext2 1002MB

I boot into SRM, put the bootdisk in /dev/fd0, and type:

>>> boot -fl i dka000
...
aboot: valid disklabel found: 3 partitions
aboot: booted_dev = `scsi 1 6 0 0 0 0 jens-io', guessing boot_device =
`scd0'
aboot: don't know how to mount partition 1 (filesystem type 9)
aboot: mount of partition 1 failed
Enter kernel name and arguments:
aboot> 0/a root=/dev/fd0 load_ramdisk=1
aboot: booted_dev=`scsi 1 6 0 0 0 0' jens-io', guessing boot_device = `scd0'
aboot: loading plain a...
aboot: unexpected object file format 143631
aboot: loading compressed a...
dummy_bread: read error
unzip: attempted to read past eof

What the hell is going on with this? I've tried several
permutations...different floppies,
different bootlx files, different kernels. The above is with the files on
ftp.alphalinux.org
in the jensen install directory.

Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong? I'm at my wits end.

/Michael
