You are not alone - I have this problem with KDE and Gnome on my AS200 4/233
with Number Nine
graphics card 2mb and PowerStorm 3D.

I have this problem with a new DS20.

I'm beginning to believe the problem is with the Red Had distribution as the
SuSe and Debian people don't seem to know why x-Windows will not work.

Untill I can get some help or someone finds a workaround, I'm using Tru64
Unix.
