I did finally get pcmcia-cs-3.0.13, 14 and 3.1.0 to compile properly after
having the same problem. However, hat to remove both of the 3C*.cis files
from the cis directory. Fortunately I am not using any 3COM pcmcia cards.
Additionally, using pcmcia-cs-3.1.0 with Redhat 6.0 stock kernel also
resolved the errors I was receiving with 2.0.35 when attempting to use an
Adaptec 1460 SlimSCSI card.

Subject: pcmcia card services
I am attempting to compile pcmcia-cs-3.0.14 on my AS200 w/RH6 and when I
do a make all, the compilation hangs at the following line:
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/pcmcia-cs-3.0.14/etc/cis'
../../debug-tools/pack_cis -o 3CCFEM556.dat 3CCFEM556.cis
This same thing happens for both versions of pcmcia-cs which are
available from hyper.stanford.edu
any ideas?
thanks,
Stephen Eastman
