Jensen boot question/problem

Hi,
Forgive me if this has been answered before, but I just recently joined
this list and haven't found an answer yet. Here is my problem:
I used S. Moellers "jensen2.img" and "ramdisk2.img" to try to install
Redhat Linux 6.0 on a Decstation 2000 Model 300 (aka Jensen). These
images were the first ones that finally (after many tries before) at
least through me into the install program. I then installed RH Linux,
but now I am at a loss as to how to boot this installation. Here is what
I have done so far, and if someone discovers a problem with my
procedure, please comment:

1) I "downgraded" the firmware to version 1.7
2) Used "minlabel.exe" from the ARC utilities to partition the one and
only disk on this system (1GB) as follows:
	- 8MB partition 1, type ext2
	- 128MB partition 2, type swap
	- Whole disk partition 3, type unused
	- rest of disk partition 4, type ext2 (want this to be /)
3) Used copyboot.exe to copy S. Moellers jensen2.img to /dev/sda
4) Use supplementary menu to change back to OSF
5) >>> boot -fl i dka0
6) aboot> 0/2.2.12.gz root=/dev/fd0 load_ramdisk=1
7) The kernel boots, asks for the ramdisk floppy (I used S. Moellers
ramdisk2.img) and then throws me into the install program
8) I chose install from local CDROM, installation starts
9) Choose "Install" rather than "Upgrade"
10) Use disk druid to assign /dev/sda4 to "/" and /dev/sda2 to "swap"
11) Installation proceeds without problems except that Xconfigurator has
problems with my graphics card (a COMPAQ QVision 1024, which I saw in
one newsgroup is unsupported by Linux?)
12) After the installation finishes, it shuts down the system to reboot,
but just throws me back to aboot.
13) I thought that I should answer:
0/2.2.12.gz root=/dev/sda4
(was that correct?).

However, it then starts booting, does a few checks and fails on one of
them:
Finding module dependencies. Can't open
/lib/modules/2.2.12/modules.dep

It continued anyways, but then stopped after displaying the following
message:

Starting portmapper. Warning: /boot/System.map has incorrect kernel
version.

Nothing else ever appeared on the screen.

Do you have any ideas what I am doing wrong now?
THanks for all your help. Jo
