Thanks to all the recent activity on this list about the Jensen, I
thought I had finally found a way to get it booted. Alas, it still
doesn't work. I get an "unzip: end of file" message. When I
change the boot partition to type "ext2" from "boot", I get
an immediate failure when typing "boot -fl i dka0".
I think the problem is a hard drive which the Jensen just doesn't
seem to like. Has anyone had trouble with certain SCSI-II disks
on a stock Jensen? The drive is a 1.28GB Fireball and used to
be my main drive on an Alpha XLT-300 workstation. It worked
fine on that box.
I just sent for a 2.1 GB Digital drive so hopefully that one will
work out better. Thanks for the new procedure though...I feel
better that others out there have gotten their Jensen's up and
running.
/Michael
