In reality there is only ONE person that is/has done the Linux/JAVA port of
SUN's software on the alpha. I get no support from DEC, or from SUN et al. But
NOW that sun wont relicense my NON-COMMercial license for JDK 1.2, I am
thinking that they will also stop licensing the non-comm JDK1.1.x, ( at any
time ). ergo why support suns incursions, and i will move on to other things
that need help ( like the alpha port of postgreSQL, or mauve ) . I dont have
the Peso's to go commercial, or the time to prove that 32bit JAVA testing
facilities ( needed to pass certification ) is biased agains 64bit machines.
BTW DEC has done the JDK ports to alpha/true64 - maybe u should be asking them
as they seem to have the bucks to put in front of suns marketeers
