as far as netscape goes, the only way that you can get netscape to run is to
get the licensed Digital Unix Libraries
instructions for this are at http://www.alphalinux.org

Subject: Web Browser
As a Linux user (Intel) since '93, I was surprised when my
new 533 MHz SX machine came with Linux but without
a browser. A quick look at Netscape's download area
left me high and dry. Can DecUnix (True64) versions be
run on an Alpha running RedHat 6.0?
This question may have been asked before, but not in the few
days since I subscribed to the list.
Thanks,
Ed Lukacs
Linux since '93, Alpha since Monday
