I should have prefaced that I purchased the EBSDK to obtain the SRM
firmware for an (ancient) PC64-275 (EB64). However, the Compaq sales rep
informed me that they only shipped the latest CDs with any firmware order
- apparently this is not the case :-/
Compaq still sells the EBSDK - you simply must have the part # and go
a few telephone reps before they know what you want ;-)

Strangely enough, the SRM firmware for the PC64-275 'magically' appeared
on gatekeeper.dec.com in early Dec. 1999 while I was awaiting my EBSDK to
arrive:
ftp://ftp.digital.com/pub/Digital/Alpha/firmware/interim/pc64/
The SDK portion of the EBSDK does fall under license though.

Many thanks for the info,
